Will No One Stop the Insanity?

So, I'm off to New York. It's very, very bad timing, since it feels like I just got back from England, but this trip was planned months and months ago. As opposed to the last-minute insanity that was the England trip.

I'm going there to see family and, after years of trying and failing, Ringo Starr. The closest I ever came was two years ago, when I actually had tickets but had to cancel. So, it looks like I may finally get to see Ringo play.

The actual travelling should be interesting, considering that I went to the dentist yesterday and I'm in more than just a little bit of discomfort right now as a result.

TMI: My tooth had just been killing me and giving me headaches, so I had to have this work done before going on this trip. Only, they didn't do such a good job of numbing my tooth, so I've been in even more pain since the appointment and have been taking lots and lots of Advil. I can't see it getting any better by tomorrow.

And yet I'm to travel anyway, just for you, Ringo. Be grateful. ;)

    Top 5 on Friday

Time for a Music Memoirs meme? I think so.

Top 5 albums that you can't stop playing lately, and tell us why you love them!

    Elvis Costello - Momofuku
The new album wih the "asian cuss word" (not really, but it's fun to say it is) title. There are some songs I love, and a few that I skip.

Nick Lowe - At My Age
Been listening to this one a lot ever since I saw Nick live. That was also the night I met him :D

    Sweeney Todd Official Soundtrack
Do I have to think of a logical reason why? I'm just obsessed.

The Pogues - Just Look Them Straight in the Eye and Say "Poguemahone"
The new Box Set, full of demos and rare tracks. I'm just eating it up, as any huge Pogues fan would.

Paul McCartney - Memory Almost Full
I listened to this a lot while on the England trip. I needed *something* to amuse me on the SIX HOUR TRAIN RIDE. (Which wasn't supposed to happen, but they were having engineering problems or something. I heard "Momofuku" about 3 times over, and Paul a few times, and Sweeney Todd....)

    *~Hi~*

    *~TO DO LIST~*

  • Watch "The Young Ones", 80's BBC show, and wish they'd made more than 12 episodes.

  • Drool over wonderful King of America cover.
  • Kidnap Elvis AND Justin Lodgey AND Paul to preserve sanity and ward off post-concert depression.
  • Pretty much try to stay in a constant state of confusion (like Johnny Depp) just because of the expression it leaves on my face.
  • Protest War (feeling a little ambitious, are we?)

  • *~WHATEVER~*

    The Parade of Progress Continues!

    *~Buy This Album~*

  • The Delivery Man

  • Chaos & Creation in the Backyard
