    Lazy day, Sunday afternoon...
    (To quote Ray Thomas.)

I jinxed myself yesterday by saying that I keep dreaming about Johnny Depp. Due to some pictures posted on a certain message board, I instead dreamed about Hugh Grant (what the heck??). I had this belt, and a black and white picture of him was on the buckle. Weird. I'm not crazy about him--I enjoy seeing him in movies but I certainly wouldn't want to stare at his picture all day.

To dispel that odd and slightly disturbing thought, here is the lovely (tongue of) Agent Sands...

By the way, I just discovered the most disturbing music video ever made. And wouldn't you know it, it's by Pink Floyd. VH1 classic showed "Welcome to the Machine" a minute ago...eeep...what were they on?? Bad animation of slowly progressing, nonsensical scenes... A cartoon head spent a full 2 minutes decaying on screen.... An ocean of blood took 5 minutes to turn into waving hands...

I need to recover now. Let's watch "Your Wildest Dreams".

    Evil Appliances
I really wanted to scan those Night Flight pictures, plus the pics of Johnny Depp in the Playboy magazine I had to buy today (that felt a little awkward, needless to say) but the scanner decided to have one of its little phases where it won't work.
That blasted thing. How could it deprive me from Justin, right when I finally decide to pay attention to him?

I've done too many memes like this before, but here I go again.
    Daily Dirt
    1. Favorite Movie? Pirates of the Caribbean
    2. Favorite TV Show? Friends (yeah I know...most people I know hate it)
    3. Favorite Band/Singer? The Moody Blues
    4. Favorite Song? "Who Knows" from JH's Moving Mountains
    5. Favorite Celebrity? Johnny Depp (who I keep dreaming about, which is still strange)

See, wasn't that just too obvious?

I just bought some Johnny Depp posters. Have I completely lost my mind? I have no wall space thanks to the Moody Blues!

Justin Hayward's re-released albums finally came--funny, the revised release date wasn't until the 26th (Amazon needs help--they say my Ed Wood DVD isn't coming till January 2010). I can see why the one-versed, 4-word chorused song "Wrong Time, Right Place" was one that slipped Justin's mind, but hey...it's a new old Justin song! I am happy. The Night Flight cd looked pointless at first, but the pics in the booklet made it worthwhile.

Now to drool over Justin who, for about a week, I forgot existed thanks to a certain movie.

    Captions, Take 2
This is basically the same thing I did before, but with a different movie. Not too original, but...

"Yes, I'm single, why do... WHAT?"

    "What the... She's following me!!"

"El Mariachi, I need you to kill someone. You see, I'm being followed, and in danger of being kidnapped...."

"Yes, it's a girl again! Why, do you have a problem with that?"

"So I hired this guy to kill her... And oh, dear God, she's sitting right behind you."

"Uh, think you could help me? The FBI shooting a stalker for a CIA agent: hey, if that's not co-departmental... Oh, forget it."

    "Fine...I don't care... I'll settle this myself!"

"And...yes, I do believe I just shot this elderly man. Gotta work on that aim...."

...while I ponder weak and weary...
I can't believe I'm sick again, after barely a week of being well. I'm not liking this cold weather very much. I think I need to break out The Moody Blues's "December" again just to remind myself that Winter (yes, it's turned into Winter here again) isn't always a bad thing.

Having a cold does have its perks, though. Yesterday I finally saw Once upon a time in Mexico, which I really do like--even though I missed out on a few major plot points. That was either because of my sinus headache or my lack of attention towards anything that wasn't Johnny Depp.

Yes, for those who've seen the movie, I was a little traumatized by a certain event. But once I realised my favourite character wasn't going to totally die, I got over it.

That was a pretty clever movie--although parts of it are not to be taken too seriously. If you don't mind gratuitous guns 'n' violence, go watch it. If you like Johnny Depp, also go watch it, but be prepared to look away if you can't stand bad things happening to him.

    Belated Happy Easter to all
And a belated Daily Dirt, until I can think of something Eastery to say.

Which ____ couldn't you live without?
    Sunday, April 11, 2004
    1. CD (Album OR Single): The Moody Blues' Strange Times.
    2. Book: Wizard's First Rule by Terry Goodkind.
    3. Video/DVD: Pirates of the Caribbean...which I saw for the tenth time yesterday. Drooling over a pirate in eyeliner--some Easter celebration, huh?
    4. Website: At the moment, The Johnny Depp Image Gallery. It makes me happy.
    5. Person: If it can be anyone...Justin Hayward!!
But Esquire magazine made that decision a little harder, cos of pictures like this:

I'm sure that last quiz was edifying, but I need to post again so I can use these anime smilies. (How do I love thee, Justin? Let me count the ways...)

I saw Bob Dylan two nights ago. I'm not a fan--at all--but the concert was in town. How could I call myself a music lover if I missed seeing a legendary songwriter? (A legendary songwriter with a voice that sounds like it's been dragged over gravel, but still, a legend.) I could only make out the words to about 2 songs--the only ones I recognised... But his backup band was fabulous, so it wasn't really all that bad. I thought I might try taking pictures--practice for VA, you know. But I was too far back, and Bob looked like a speck. Oh well.

Now, more smilies, for your viewing pleasure(?).
(Shall I compare thee to a summer's day? Thou art more lovely and more temperate. Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May, And summer's lease hath all too short a date.)

I have to get it all out of my system before June! I can't very well say it to his face, can I? Scream it up at the stage?

Oh, and sorry for the neglect, Lodgey. I luv you too.

    Another Daily Dirt
    1. Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 18, find line 4. Write down what it says:
"except to prove the point that I'm right and should have fig-"
    2. Stretch your left arm out as far as you can. What do you touch first?
    Air.
    3. What is the last thing you watched on TV?
    Home Improvement.
    4. Before you came to this website, what did you look at?
    Diary of a Music Whore
    5. Tell me something about you that I don't know:
You probably know too much about me already.

If not then this'll sum up.

    Belated Quiz
I really need one of these to take up space, so here's a belated Daily Dirt.
    Give me your...
    1. Top 5 favourite movies: Pirates of the Caribbean, Almost Famous, Edward Scissorhands, The Princess Bride, and at the moment Secret Window.
    2. Top 5 dates: Dates? Huh?
    3. Top 5 TV Shows: Friends and Star Trek TNG are the only ones I really like, but on occasion I watch Home Improvement, Cowboy Bebop, and Yu Yu Hakusho (last 2 are Japanese anime, so yes I know the names are weird).

Ok, I'm gonna go now since I'm still sick. Going to see a movie didn't help--imagine my joy at seeing the sign "Heating is broken in theatre for Secret Window" (yep, saw it a 4th time.) Can't do much cos of my cold, so I watched a terrible, cheesy movie on TV called Freddy's Dead, one of the Nightmare on Elm Street thingies. I only watched it cos I knew Johnny Depp had a cameo--so yeah, I saw 2 hours of bad acting, blood, and gore all so I could see a 21 Jump Street-era Johnny hold an egg and say "This is your brain. This is your brain on drugs. Questions?" and then Freddy hit him with a frying pan.

    Hello out there
I can't find any good memes to use here...so you'll have to put up with my ramblings again. It's too bad that mean post of mine stayed up at the top all week.

    So where've I been?
Well, it's been a crazy week. Not that I mind. You see, I eloped on Tuesday afternoon. So I've been pretty preoccupied. Here's a wedding picture for anyone interested. (Ignore the guy on the left.)

Yeah. That's the groom on the right. I think I'm pretty lucky, if I may presume to say.

Well, I have to make a trip to the grocery store since I'm out of chocolate syrup...for some mysterious reason. I'll check back with you later, if I get the time.

(By the way...that's Justin Hayward. In case you don't know. Which makes this April Fool's Day. Pathetic joke, I know, but it was good for me.)
