    Sniffle

I couldn't do anything this weekend, not because I was busy, but because I was (am) sick. But what weekend would be complete without a trip to the ER? sigh....

Second time in 3 years that I got sick on Valentine's Day. Just another reason why I don't much like that holiday.

My prescribed medicine is so awful I can't even take it.

Being unable to get up did give me time to watch an old movie... Pop Gear. I'm really on a 60's high right now. Beatles, Herman's Hermits--you name it, I'm listening to it. There are some really terrible bands and choreography in that movie, mind you. But it's mostly fun.

I've been neglecting Peter & Gordon for a long time. "A World Without Love" is one of my absolute favorite songs of all time, yet I hadn't heard it in, probably, years. That is just wrong.

You Know You're a Music Obsessive When....

...you watch a 30 minute infomercial just because it's hosted by Peter Noone.

The infomercial was for a 60's CD collection. You know you're obsessed with 60's music when you recognize all but two (I counted) of the songs.

They do get the best people to host these things, though. I watched one a few years back because Davy Jones was the host.

Speaking of Davy, I recently figured out why he wasn't my favorite Monkee when I was little. It was because he was the English one, and I felt like I would be cheating on the Beatles! (I remember I used to worry that "The Monkees are taking over the Beatles," as I used to put it.)

I'm insane in many other ways. I dreamed that Craig Ferguson wanted me to go get a tattoo with him. (He got a tattoo on the show, but it's still a weird dream.)

    Top 5 on Friday

Seems like it's been forever since I've done one of these!

    Music Memoirs asks:

Top 5 songs to do a sexy valentine's striptease for your lova

Now, the universe would probably implode if I were to actually do one of those, but I'll do the meme anyway! (At the worst, it'll spark some more odd dreams about Craig Ferguson.)

Kirsty MacColl - In These Shoes

Sophie B. Hawkins - I Wish I Was Your Lover

Elvis Costello & the Attractions - Inch by Inch
(stole this answer from Andrea but it's just so perfect)

Nick Lowe - Dose of You

    Animotion - Obsession

  • Watch "The Young Ones", 80's BBC show, and wish they'd made more than 12 episodes.

  • Drool over wonderful King of America cover.

  • Pretty much try to stay in a constant state of confusion (like Johnny Depp) just because of the expression it leaves on my face.
  • Protest War (feeling a little ambitious, are we?)
