    Top 5 on Friday

    From Music Memoirs

Top 5 Songs That Make You Laugh:

Barnes & Barnes - Fish Heads

Elvis Costello - Honey Are You Straight or Are You Blind?
(It makes no sense, but it kind of made me laugh.. especially when it used to get stuck in my head for no reason)

Weird Al Yankovic - Eat It

    The Monkees - Laugh
(Obvious reasons. Plus their odd laughing is pretty funny.)

    The Pogues - Pachinko
(I can't take this song seriously. It's about Japanese gambling or something and I start giggling whenever Spider Stacy sings "I play deji pachi, I go uchi domi, I go uchi domi"... What were they thinking??)

    Top 5 on Friday

    This week from Music Memoirs...

Top 5 - Artists/Bands that should just stop singing. (Tell us why you chose them too) :

The Black Eyed Peas - I loathe this group so much, I believe I would be the happiest person on the planet if they would stop singing. They produce the some of the crappiest songs I've ever heard.

Britney Spears - I am so sick of hearing her and seeing her all over the TV.

Jessica Simpson - Ditto. Make it stop, please!

Toby Keith - Wrongheaded patriotism is the worst kind. Don't need to hear you sing about yours.

Diddy - Or whatever the name is. I don't need to see you making an appearance on Letterman just because you decided to change your name again for the fourth time in four years.

    Top 5 on Friday

    From Music Memoirs.

Top Five Albums That Have Had an Influence on Your Life:

Elvis Costello - Blood & Chocolate

The first EC album I ever bought. A few years later, I'm down hundreds of dollars and my CD and concert ticket collections are a lot bigger.

The Moody Blues - On the Threshold of a Dream

One of my first Moody Blues albums. Though many years before discovering the EC album, it's very similar in that it helped start a huge musical obsession.

    The Clash - The Singles

It renewed my appreciation of punk. A great collection by the punk band with the most talent.

    George Harrison- Cloud 9

One of the first albums that comes to mind when I think of my favorite Beatle. I was so obsessed with it and the video for "Got My Mind Set on You."

    Camelot - Original Movie Soundtrack

I can't believe I even remembered this. This goes back to my now almost entirely forgotten obsession with King Arthur and/or musicals. I still like musicals... but I'm no longer out there buying every King Arthur book in the store and watching this movie over and over.

    *~Hi~*

    *~TO DO LIST~*

  • Watch "The Young Ones", 80's BBC show, and wish they'd made more than 12 episodes.

  • Drool over wonderful King of America cover.
  • Kidnap Elvis AND Justin Lodgey AND Paul to preserve sanity and ward off post-concert depression.
  • Pretty much try to stay in a constant state of confusion (like Johnny Depp) just because of the expression it leaves on my face.
  • Protest War (feeling a little ambitious, are we?)

  • *~WHATEVER~*

    The Parade of Progress Continues!

    *~Buy This Album~*

  • The Delivery Man

  • Chaos & Creation in the Backyard
