    Unexpected News...

I'm feeling so incredibly stressed out.

On top of that, I found out on extremely short notice that a friend has tickets to an event in England. And invited me along. So a trip to England seems to have fallen into my lap.

I've probably never done anything on such short notice in my life.

But it seems as though I'm going to go ahead with it. For some insane reason. Because this truly is insane.

    Tuesday Tunes

    From Music Memoirs

Another word association week. Remember name the first song/artist/album etc that you think of when you see these 10 words.

Country: Elvis Costello - Country Darkness
Patriotic: John Mellencamp - Our Country
    Summer: Bananarama - Cruel Summer
Heat: Duran Duran - Some Like It Hot
Fun: Cyndi Lauper - Girls Just Wanna Have Fun
Beach: Kirsty MacColl - He's On the Beach
Surf: Jan and Dean - Surf City
Park: Justin Hayward - MacArthur Park
Live: Joe Strummer - X-Ray Style (it's in the lyrics)
South: OK, this is weird, but the first thing I thought of was Elvis Costello's "North." Because it's the opposite, I suppose.

    Tuesday Tunes

    From Music Memoirs

This week is word association week and it's all in colors! I'll give you a color and you tell me the first song/artist/album that comes to mind when you see it.

Pink: The Psychedlic Furs - Pretty in Pink
    Purple: Prince - Purple Rain
Blue: Elvis Costello - Almost Blue
White: Procol Harum - A Whiter Shade of Pale
Gold: Shane MacGowan - The Crock of Gold (album)
Silver: The Beatles - Maxwell's Silver Hammer
Green: The Lemon Pipers - Green Tambourine
    Yellow: Donovan - Mellow Yellow
Red: Elvis Costello - The Angels Wanna Wear My Red Shoes
Brown: Herman's Hermits - Mrs. Brown You've Got a Lovely Daughter (is that cheating?)

It took me nearly forever to think of one for silver.

Top 5 on Friday from Music Memoirs

Better late than never because I desperately need a distraction.

Top 5 songs that get you ready for the end of the day/weekend

The Moody Blues - Here Comes the Weekend
(I haven't heard this song in ages)

The Moody Blues - Evening (Time to Get Away)

The Cure - Friday I'm in Love

Nick Lowe - 7 Nights to Rock
(I don't know why. Maybe it's the days of the week listed in the song. Plus, it's a lot of fun.)

Elton John - Club at the End of the Street

These answers are terribly uncreative, but my mind isn't working right now. I've had a tough night.

    *~Hi~*

    *~TO DO LIST~*

  • Watch "The Young Ones", 80's BBC show, and wish they'd made more than 12 episodes.

  • Drool over wonderful King of America cover.
  • Kidnap Elvis AND Justin Lodgey AND Paul to preserve sanity and ward off post-concert depression.
  • Pretty much try to stay in a constant state of confusion (like Johnny Depp) just because of the expression it leaves on my face.
  • Protest War (feeling a little ambitious, are we?)

  • *~WHATEVER~*

    The Parade of Progress Continues!

    *~Buy This Album~*

  • The Delivery Man

  • Chaos & Creation in the Backyard
