    Top Five on Friday

I somehow managed to forget to do the Music Memoirs meme.

This one should be very interesting, anyway!

    Top 5 "Ecstasy Inspiring" Songs:

Elvis Costello - I Want You

    The Moody Blues - Deep

(....oh, the heck with it. I can't think of any songs besides Mr. Costello's at the moment.)

    Elvis Costello - Almost Blue

Elvis Costello - Speak Darkly My Angel (just the way he sings that one)

    Elvis Costello - Love Field

    Sticky Valentines and other things

I don't normally explore deep subjects on this blog, but since a certain friend of mine doesn't understand this kind of thing, I might as well tell someone. Even if that someone happens to be the entire internet.

It's not that strange for a person to be sentimental about things. And I seem to be getting rather sentimental about the fact that a lot of family and friends' homes have been sold over the past few years. All the places where I used to have fun, years and years ago, are basically disappearing. And I really think I'm going to miss a certain friend's family home more than she is, which seems to be of the utmost strangeness to me.
Even one of my favorite places, which is located in my "second home" of NY, will soon be gone.

This is probably my cue to jump in and quote "I'm not going to get too sentimental like those other sticky valentines"

By the way, I share your aversion to Valentine's Day, Elvis. Sitting there while your best friend shows you all her Valentine's chocolate, flowers, and photos of her very own "sticky valentine" is not good for one's self-esteem.

"Cos you're just the marshmallow valentine that got stuck on her clothes" (one of my fave song lines, btw).

I know I'll regret admitting all this later. *sigh*

    Word Cloud

So apparently this website will make a "word cloud" based on what's in your blog. (I found this by looking at nat's blog.)

    Mine is pretty predictable!

    Top Five on Friday

It's been a while, but I'm finally back with another Music Memoirs meme.

    "Top 5 Heart Songs":

Justin Hayward - Heart of Steel (one of my all-time favorite JH songs)

Nick Lowe - Heart (which immediately popped into my head after reading the subject of this meme)

Paul McCartney - Heart of the Country

John Lodge - Piece of My Heart (I hope that's the correct title)

Herman's Hermits - Can't You Hear My Heartbeat

    *~Hi~*

    *~TO DO LIST~*

  • Watch "The Young Ones", 80's BBC show, and wish they'd made more than 12 episodes.

  • Drool over wonderful King of America cover.
  • Kidnap Elvis AND Justin Lodgey AND Paul to preserve sanity and ward off post-concert depression.
  • Pretty much try to stay in a constant state of confusion (like Johnny Depp) just because of the expression it leaves on my face.
  • Protest War (feeling a little ambitious, are we?)

  • *~WHATEVER~*

    The Parade of Progress Continues!

    *~Buy This Album~*

  • The Delivery Man

  • Chaos & Creation in the Backyard
